Smooth Jazz Excursion is programmed by John Sutton, Quentin “Q”  Hutchison and Kerri D.  A dedicated staff with over 70 years broadcast experience.  Headquarted in Parker, Colorado, Smooth Jazz Excursion broadcasts 24 hours a day 7 days a week, featuring a wide variety of smooth jazz artists and songs.

Kerri D. hosts the Smooth Jazz Excursion top 25 countdown on Mondays, and on Thursday Night join her for “After Hours with Kerri D.” not only is Kerri a great music programmer with 24 years of broadcast experience, she’s a broadcast engineer too!  

“Q” maintains the technical computer side of things (servers and broadcast software etc...), and keeps the programming clocks and music in order.  His 12 years in radio programming and engineering provide invaluable support.  He also digs the music and has great programming ideas.   

Over 30 years ago John started interviewing and playing on (KADX-FM, Denver) radio what we all now know as the founding members of the smooth jazz community. Sample artists interviewed include, Grover Washington, Jr., George Benson, Ramsey Lewis, David Sanborn, Les McCann, Nancy Wilson, Al Jarreau, Stanley Turrentine, Tom Scott, B.B. King, Dave Grusin, Herbie Mann and many others.  What we called “pop jazz” back then evolved into smooth jazz, and we’ve just kept adding great music along the way.  Thanks for listening.
